Personalization

Diamond jewelry makes you feel noticed, cherished and is an alternative for memorable gifts, but also a proof of refinement.

In recent years, the personalization of diamond jewelry has become a trend, especially because it expresses the feelings of the giver or wearer, giving a special touch to any gift. Personalized jewelry becomes more original and amplifies their emotional symbolism.

Personalizing jewellery can mean choosing a shade of gold (yellow, white or rose) or a particular type of gemstone (diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire). Ask for a detailed explanation of the jewelry or diamond you are about to purchase. We recommend that you do not choose a diamond by price, but by the 4 Cs: carat, color, clarity and cut.

When it comes to diamonds, size is not the most important element, but their quality.

For example, a 0.50 ct. diamond can be much more expensive than a 1.60 ct. diamond, but inferior in quality.

CHARACT: The carat is the weight of diamonds and gemstones, and is an important criterion in evaluating a diamond. Depending on the clarity and color, the price of a carat composed of a single stone can vary from 300 Euro up to 18.000 Euro. Also, a 1 carat stone is four times more valuable than 1 carat composed of four smaller diamonds.

COLOR: The color of diamonds is one of the most mysterious and interesting characteristics. Each color standard indicates the highest or lowest point.

A diamond is not of poor quality if it is yellowish. It's simply worth less because demand is much higher for round colorless, white diamonds. Commercially, intensely colored diamonds are known as fancy colors. Because of their rarity, diamonds are highly prized, especially when the color spreads an intense saturation. The color palette of a diamond is very varied, from pink to red, blue, orange, green, yellow and brown to black. The rarest colors of natural diamonds are red, orange, pink, green, blue and purple. However, white, transparent diamonds are the most common and much more affordable than colored diamonds. The white diamond is the only gemstone whose lack of color enhances its value.

CLARITY: The clarity of a diamond is given by the presence or absence of imperfections, i.e. internal and external inclusions visible with a 10X magnifying glass and/or other instruments. Almost all diamonds contain traces made in a fraction of a second, traces of uncrystallized carbon or small inclusions of crystal or other elements. These imprints left by nature make each diamond unique in its own way. The fewer the imperfections, the rarer and more expensive the diamond.

CUT: Until 1919 the old cut, which has a more irregular and imperfect shape, was used. Specific to old cut diamonds, we find the crown very high, the rondel thick and irregular, and the pavilion thick and very heavy in relation to the symmetry of the diamond. Today, these diamonds are no longer included in the Rapaport price list. The modern brilliant cut is considered the ideal cut because it maximizes the specific natural dispersion of light characteristic of diamonds, giving them an unparalleled "fire" and brilliance. The brilliant cut combines the unique properties of diamonds such as reflection, symmetry and light dispersion in every way. The precise angles and proportions make the diamond much deeper than an old cut.
